I’m not “endorsing” this site, but here you can get a sense of the kinds of questions you will be asked and take some practice tests for free and with no account.

These practice tests are good examples of the real tests – so you have an idea what to expect. If you want to try some of the questions, they come with answer keys. If you have already viewed these questions (and answers), and you’re ready to take a practice test to see how you do, you can use the online version below.

Official HiSET Practice Tests – online
To take the official HiSET practice tests (for free), you will need to have a HiSET account (see the Registration page).
If you haven’t done this yet, please note that you’re only required to complete the lines on the form with the red asterisk, or star. Do NOT put your Social Security Number on the Internet.
Also, TAKE A PICTURE of your ETS account number to be certain you have the correct ID number when you register for the actual tests.
